When public aspiration being so much limited, and no one dare to show the power of democratic society will become a change in this country. Silence was appreciated otherwise, criticize was taboo and an ilegal threat to the government.

Menangis (Cry Out)

The portrait of Indonesian people in common. Their faces is smiling, but u could tell how their struggle of living is very clear shown in their face. They cried out deep inside their heart. Caught in everlasting hope for tomorrow. Would anyone else could hear their sadness… I use black background to bring this gloomy situation into the painting.

Indonesia Bergerak (Indonesia in the Move)

Another red background painting that describes how Indonesia now. This miniature progress in painting symbolized by the upward bowls, the fragile situation that can be breaking apart anytime. When suburban people running for nothing to the city. I said nothing because they will face another problems in heavenly big city of Indonesia, such as Surabaya and Jakarta. Lack of education needs and improper of living for this heavenly fake dream, which these people won’t see in where they are coming from. Welcome to the Indonesia…

Fenomena Kota (The City’s Phenomenon)

A miniature of common big cities in Indonesia, such as Jakarta and Surabaya. Gloomy in color as the dark side mind of a man who lives in a crowded city, when the necessity chocked him as a consequences to live in those city. Transportation, settlement compare to the money in his pocket. Which are not worth enough with his long working hours.

Three small birds awaiting their mother to feed them. I use soil and natural color mostly. There are thin white and black straight lines as decorative elements.

Kuda – kuda (The Horses)

Red and yellow color composition for these abstract horses. Best decorative painting that I can made of (or I think). The horses was painted several degrees to the left from vertical axis so I can find best result of composition.

The fishes are looking for food… and imagine myself like one of them in everyday life. It must have been very busy day if they have nothing to eat because their habitat being captivated by pollutants…swimming around and around and nothing to eat and then die for nothing…

I really love the eye shape…these abstract fishes dominantly in light green, with their eyes open. Continuously swimming around and growing and being harvested by the fish farmer.

This is quite the same theme that I used to call as ‘Play Music’ series, but the different idea is that I use color instead black and white only. I try to put red color dominantly. I play with curves which very different to the straight lines and geometric shape that you used to see in my other paintings. It was quite interesting to see how the curves connected one to another in this painting. I made two other series of this guitar paintings, which are: Guitar 2 and Guitar 3.

Painting Exhibition

In June, I will have another painting exhibition, and it will be held in Surabaya – Indonesia. Most of the paintings have been reviewed here in my Blog, and the other paintings are still in finishing process. I have been preparing this exhibition for this half year, and hopefully I can post my latest Blog related to this exhibition soon ;).
