Caught in everlasting hope for tomorrow. Would anyone else could hear their sadness… I use black background to bring this gloomy situation into the painting.

A miniature of common big cities in Indonesia, such as Jakarta and Surabaya. Gloomy in color as the dark side mind of a man who lives in a crowded city, when the necessity chocked him as a consequences to live in those city. Transportation, settlement compare to the money in his pocket. Which are not worth enough with his long working hours.

I really love the eye shape…these abstract fishes dominantly in light green, with their eyes open. Continuously swimming around and growing and being harvested by the fish farmer.

This is quite the same theme that I used to call as ‘Play Music’ series, but the different idea is that I use color instead black and white only. I try to put red color dominantly. I play with curves which very different to the straight lines and geometric shape that you used to see in my other paintings. It was quite interesting to see how the curves connected one to another in this painting. I made two other series of this guitar paintings, which are: Guitar 2 and Guitar 3.

Another series of my 'Play Music' painting. I finished these series in December 2006. That moment when I realy want to put black color only like I used to do in some of my previous painting. It is so much simplier and humble, yet mysterious at the same time.

Its monochromatic color brings simplicity into this complicated shape. A cubic face deformed and guitar music instrument side by side in single frame is actualy my idea to show how our life goes by as music. Its harmony make us happy or sometime sad in certain moment.
